 TECHNICAL REPRESANTATIVE 

PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION

Composed of a dynamic and passionate team, we are a Canadian company in full expansion and are currently looking for a technical external sales representative. By joining us, you will flourish in a professional and friendly environment, with a strong team spirit.

Reporting to the Sales Director, your mission will be to ensure business development, increase sales and maintain good professional relationships with your assigned customers.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Representation to mechanical contractors & consulting engineering firms in the city of Toronto and surrounding areas.
  • Implement and execute a sales plan for your clients.
  • Provide detailed reports on your markets (commercial sales with Toronto engineering firms).
  • Inform and educate your clients on our different products.
  • Ensure that sales calls are scheduled when a representative from one of our manufacturer’s visits.
  • Follow the necessary training to keep your technical skills up to date.
  • For all your projects, fulfill the following tasks:
  • Propose technical solutions to your clients.
  • Make and review equipment selections and specifications.
  • Establish and review bills of material.
  • Review pricing structure prior to bidding.
  • Inform the Sales Manager of projects in negotiation and provide support during the closing.
  • Make and review shop drawings for approval.
  • Ensure that your customers and project information is updated in our ERP system on a weekly basis.
  • Provide a sales forecast report to your supervisor on a monthly basis.
  • Occasionally travel to job sites (delivery / start-up / various problems).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a college diploma in building engineering (preferred)
  • Relevant experience in the field of HVAC.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in technical representation.

PROJECT MANAGER 

 

PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION

The Project Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of the projects assigned to him/her, from design to delivery of the specified equipment. He or she is also responsible for being the main point of contact between the clients and our manufacturers.

The complete management of the projects will be done in close collaboration and with the support of the representatives and technical directors.

 

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Design and optimize ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and heating systems through the selection of equipment for the various products represented by the company.
  • Provide technical support to our customers during the review of engineering documents including drawings, selections, as well as technical plans and specifications.
  • Prepare bids (BOM), make take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate the closing of tender projects and follow up.
  • Participate in the negotiation of projects.
  • Produce drawings for approval and follow up closely with the client.
  • Ensure the coordination of projects ranging from the start of production with the manufacturers to the delivery of the equipment.
  • Respond to technical questions and installation problems from contractors.
  • When required, accompany customers and technicians on construction sites.
  • Attend training at the office as well as in the factories of the manufacturers, as part of continuing education (hours counted for the OIQ).

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a college diploma in building engineering.
  • Relevant HVAC experience is an asset.
  • Holding a driving license.
  • Holding a valid passport with no travel restrictions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform scheduled start-ups of HVAC systems as requested by suppliers
  • Help with start-ups when necessary
  • Act as technical support on construction sites when problems arise with installed systems
  • Provide technical support by telephone during the start-up, operation, and maintenance of the systems
  • Prepare and give technical training on products to our customers and our employees, on site or in the classroom
  • Develop and provide technical training for customers and employees on products
  • Carry out site visits during meetings scheduled for or by stakeholders
  • Make follow-ups accompanied by technical reports

PROFIL SOUGHT

  • DEP in building mechanics
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in technical support
  • Very good knowledge of heating systems (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license and passport with no travel restrictions required
  • Bilingual, therefore excellent command of French and English (oral and written)
