TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE
PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION

Reporting to the Sales Director, your mission will be to ensure business development, increase sales and maintain good professional relationships with your assigned customers.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Represent engineering firms and/or contractors in Montreal and surrounding areas.
- Implement and execute a sales plan for your clients.
- Provide detailed reports on your markets (commercial sales with Montreal engineering firms).
- Inform and educate your clients on our different products.
- Ensure that sales calls are scheduled when a representative from one of our manufacturer’s visits.
- Follow the necessary training to keep your technical skills up to date.
- For all your projects, fulfill the following tasks:
- Propose technical solutions to your clients.
- Make and review equipment selections and specifications.
- Establish and review bills of material.
- Review pricing structure prior to bidding.
- Inform the Sales Manager of projects in negotiation and provide support during the closing.
- Negotiate projects and obtain purchase orders.
- Ensure orders are properly entered, review drawings for approval.
- Make and review shop drawings for approval.
- Monitor deliveries with the project administrator.
- Ensure that your customers and project information is updated in our ERP system on a weekly basis.
- Provide a sales forecast report to your supervisor on a monthly basis.
- Occasionally travel to job sites (delivery / start-up / various problems).
- Assist the after-sales department in troubleshooting problems following equipment start-up.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a college diploma in building engineering (preferred)
- Relevant experience in the field of HVAC.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in technical representation.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Full time (weekdays)
- 37.5 hours per week
- Flexible schedule between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Possibility of teleworking
